Because MLLC is an approved microschool and education service provider, eligible families can take advantage of West Virginia’s Hope Scholarship.
The Hope Scholarship empowers families to make school choices that are right for their educational needs. The Hope Scholarship program offers qualifying K–12 students in West Virginia an opportunity to build an individual learning experience that works best for their child. The scholarship allows K–12 students to receive financial assistance that can be used for tuition and fees, homeschool curriculum, and other qualifying expenses offered by eligible and participating Educational Service Providers (including Mountain Laurel).
Qualifying families with preschool-aged children may be eligible for childcare assistance through MountainHeart Community Services See below. The Montessori Learning Center is a child care center, licensed by the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources.
MountainHeart Community Services, Inc., has a variety of programs available to qualifying individuals and families throughout West Virginia. Their Child Care Resource & Referral Service can assist eligible parents who work or attend school by providing child care subsidies. MountainHeart is funded through a WV Department of Human Services grant.
MLLC's Board of Directors and its Fundraising Committee sets aside a percentage from its three major fundraising events each year to support eligible families through financial assistance to attend the Learning Center.
