Our mission
Inspire.
Based in Tucker County, West Virginia, the Mountain Laurel Learning Cooperative is a non-profit educational organization that aims to inspire children to become joyful, life-long learners and engaged, compassionate citizens in their community.
Who are we?
We are a learning cooperative made up of parents, grandparents, educators, and community members who care about learning opportunities for youth in our community. We started as a small playgroup that evolved into a parent-led toddler program and eventually became the Mountain Laurel Learning Cooperative (MLLC), a non-profit educational organization.

Our programs
The Cooperative's flagship program is the Montessori Learning Center - a child care center licensed by the WV DHHR and Microschool recognized by the State of WV as an Educational Service Provider.
Our Primary Program provides a structured Montessori-based learning environment for children ages 3 to 6.
Our Lower Elementary and Upper Elementary Programs provide a Montessori-based curriculum that provides independent learning and educational activities for participants aged 6 - 12.
